Iceland Foods has officially secured Vegetarian Society Approved accreditation, confirming that its extensive range of vegetarian, vegan, and plant-based products meets the highest standards for vegetarian food production.
With the demand for vegetarian and plant-based foods on the rise, Iceland’s accreditation reflects a growing movement toward ethical, sustainable, and accessible food choices.
Around 20 products have received accreditation, including the newly launched TGI Melt in the Middle No Meat Burgers.
The newly approved products will be available in Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores across the UK and online, making it easier for customers to shop with confidence.
Stuart Lendrum, Director of Product, Process & Sustainability at Iceland Foods said: “We’re incredibly proud to have achieved Vegetarian Society Approved accreditation. This is a mark of trust that reflects our commitment to offering high-quality, great-tasting products that align with the values of our vegetarian, vegan, and plant-based customers.”
Nina Anderson, Head of Trademark Services at the Vegetarian Society said: “We are delighted to welcome Iceland Foods to the Vegetarian Society Approved family.
“As more people look for trustworthy vegetarian, vegan and plant-based options, it’s fantastic to see a major retailer like Iceland providing clearly accredited products that customers can choose with confidence.”
The Vegetarian Society Approved trademarks are trusted symbols, signifying that accredited products have undergone rigorous checks to ensure they contain only vegetarian or vegan ingredients, are GMO-free, and produced with no cross-contamination with meat.
