Iceland is delighted to announce it will be accepting free school meal vouchers from Monday 29th June as it joins in the national effort to ensure no schoolchild goes hungry this summer. Through the scheme, Iceland will offer vital support to parents and carers as they look to keep children fed during the busy summer period without the risk of additional financial burden.
Any parent or carer looking to use the vouchers in Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores should head to the Edenred portal and select Iceland as their preferred retailer, they will then receive their allocated digital vouchers which can be used in all Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores across the country.
Richard Walker, Managing Director at Iceland, said: “We are delighted to be a part of this essential scheme which will help millions of families over the summer. We thank Edenred for their support in making this happen. After listening to our customers across the country, our teams have been working tirelessly with partners to make it possible for us to support the nation’s schoolchildren.
“We believe it is absolutely crucial that the scheme is as accessible as possible to eligible families, and we’re pleased to be offering it in our almost 1,000 stores on high streets across the UK. We believe that all children should have access to nutritious food, whether schools are open or closed, without the additional meals eaten at home during the holidays placing a financial burden on families.”
